Remember this list I wrote before the holidays of 35 experiential gifts to give instead of traditional presents? I decided to follow my own advice and book an NYC helicopter tour for Will for our anniversary in November. After rescheduling the trip a couple times due to inclement weather, we finally got to go on Sunday! (I booked it through Vimbly, the same company I used for our macaron workshop and pottery class.) I hadn’t been on a helicopter since our family trip to Alaska ten years ago and it was such an extraordinary way to see the city we both know and love. We lucked out with crystal clear blue skies… and an awesome playlist inside the helicopter. Cruising over Central Park listening to Alicia Keys belt out “now you’re in New Yooork” — unforgettable.
Hi, Statue of Liberty!
One World Trade.
Empire State Building.
It was so fun to be tourists in our own city! I only wish we’d waited a couple months to be able to see Central Park in all its green glory come spring. Have you ever taken a helicopter tour? What are your favorite touristy activities in NYC?
