GIFT WRAPPING INSPIRATION

This year we’re doing something a little different with Christmas gift giving. Because we’re all traveling to Maine instead of congregating at my parents’ house in Connecticut (and since some of us have a much farther distance to travel this year!) we decided to keep it simple and assign each family member two other family members to purchase gifts for instead of all five. I’m still giving gifts to my boyfriend, his parents, and my Grandy, but this strategy will definitely help lighten my suitcase when we head north.

I did a fair amount of shopping during Black Friday and Cyber Monday and love taking advantage of free gift wrapping when that’s an option! But for the rest of my presents, I’m hoping to get a little creative with my gift wrapping so I rounded up some inspiration for going beyond the traditional red-and-green-everything this year:

I love the idea of wrapping everything in kraft paper (which we have a ton of for packing orders in the office!) and topping each present with different color ribbon. But then again have you seen the Sugar Paper for Target gift wrap collection? I would happily buy every single item.

P.S. Where do you wrap your gifts? I feel like most people spread out on their dining room table but for some reason growing up we always turned my parents’ bedroom into gift wrap central at Christmastime — maybe because we could close the door if we were wrapping another family member’s presents? Who knows. 🙂
