HOME TOUR: MICHELLE ADAMS IN MICHIGAN

I mentioned in yesterday’s post that we have a long list of house projects we want to tackle in 2016: prioritizing our foyer and master bedroom, replacing light fixtures on the main floor, hanging art in Will’s office, reupholstering a couple pieces we brought down when we moved. Some of the projects are pretty straightforward and others will involve collecting plenty of inspiration and weighing lots of options before we make any decisions. Let’s just say this home tour served up lots of interior inspiration!

You may remember Michelle Adams from her time in New York as an editor at Domino and Lonny. These days she’s living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in a 1920s colonial that she’s renovated and redecorated from drop ceilings and neon walls to the chic and cozy space it is today.

You can see before photos and read more about the decorating process (I loved learning that the walls are Ralph Lauren Tibetan Jasmine, supposedly the color of all their showrooms!) over on House Beautiful. I’ve also rounded up a few similarly inspired finds like these wingback chairs (though I would kill for these!) and this jute rug in the slideshow below:
