STRIPES ON THE ‘SCONSET BRIDGE

I’m back from a blissful five days on Nantucket with family and friends and reliving all the fun with all the beautiful pictures my friend Ali took while we were there! Both Ali and Amy had been to Nantucket with me before but it was Ali’s husband Patrick’s first time on the island and I had so much fun showing them all our favorite spots as well as where we’ll be married next summer. No trip to Nantucket is complete without a stroll through ‘Sconset, particularly across the ‘Sconset Bridge and up the Bluff Walk toward Sankaty Lighthouse.

You’ve seen me wear these eyelet shorts before here but they’re proving to be a very versatile addition to my summer wardrobe. Here I paired them with one of my go-to Saint James striped shirts and a new monogrammed beach bag from Lindroth Design that I’m basically obsessed with. As I explained in my packing post last week, I try to contain everything in a single carry-on suitcase and one oversized personal item and this bag was it. Yes, it just barely fit underneath the seat in front of me, but I was so happy to have it on the island with me that it was worth lugging it through the airport!
