DECORATING FOR THE HOLIDAYS

I was out running errands yesterday and I couldn’t believe how many stores are already decorated for the holidays! I know I’m not alone when I say I could happily listen to Christmas music all year round and while I know we’re still two weeks from Thanksgiving, I think a little holiday cheer would do us all some good this week.

I picked up a ton of glass ornaments on sale last winter which have me so excited to decorate our Christmas tree this year. Will’s mom helped me decide on an unexpected color palette of turquoise, pale blues, and seafoam-y greens that I can’t wait to bring to life in our living room. One thing Will and I haven’t ordered since moving in together are matching stockings (for us and for Rory, duh!) which I’m definitely adding to my Christmas wishlist this year. We’ll be celebrating the holiday in Charleston with my family but it won’t stop me from decking the halls come December!

It will come as no surprise that Nordstrom has so many pretty Christmas decorations in stock for the holidays. I love stepping outside traditional red and green galore and bringing in sparkly decor and twinkling lights for a more subtle but equally festive feel. Nordstrom also has a great selection of Sugarfina candy boxes, which I’ve received in a number of gift bags lately. The packaging is so cute and the candies are both adorable and addictive — a perfect item to stock up on for last minute hostess gifts and stocking stuffers!
