CRYSTAL CAVES + BERMUDA VIDEO!

Today is my last post about our trip to Bermuda! So far I’ve shared where we stayed, where we ate, and an afternoon in St. George. After we finished exploring St. George, we took a taxi to the Crystal Caves, a natural wonder discovered in 1907 when two teenage boys decided to lower themselves into the cave in search of a lost cricket ball. Their cricket ball never turned up, but instead they discovered a stunning array of stalactites, stalagmites, and crystal-clear pools that continues to delight tourists to this day.

We had the most extraordinary tour guide, who led us down a steep staircase into the heart of the cave and taught us all about the history and geology of the Crystal Caves. It definitely gets a little chilly as you walk farther and farther into the cave so I was happy I’d changed out of my shorts from earlier in the day and into something a little more covered up… even if I did totally miss the memo on bringing sensible shoes for the slippery walkways (as you’ll see in the video my brother Grayson made!). The tour was short and sweet (30 minutes start to finish) and much more entertaining than I thought it would be. I highly recommend a pit stop here if you’re planning a trip to Bermuda!
