PLAYING CATCH-UP

Apologies for the radio silence for the past week! Will and I are back from our honeymoon and I have so many photos to edit and stories to share from our two weeks traveling through South Africa, Tanzania, and Kenya. It was honestly a life-changing trip for both of us — words and even pictures cannot do some of these places justice but I will certainly try my best! I hadn’t really gotten back into my regular routine in the ten days we were home between our wedding and honeymoon, so I really have my work cut out for me this week in terms of battling my inbox, shooting and writing new posts, writing lots of wedding thank you notes, and overcoming jetlag.

We just got a sneak peek of our wedding photos while we were on our trip so I have also been brainstorming how best to share those with you! I am planning to share photos from our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding day as well as posts about each place we stayed on our honeymoon. I haven’t decided how I want to space these posts out (once a week for the next couple months?) to preserve my sanity and give us all a little something pretty to look forward to each week. The alternative would be to share one full week of wedding posts and later a week of honeymoon posts so those of you who are anxiously awaiting pictures will see everything as soon as possible (and those who are oh-so-over the wedding content know exactly which days to skip). If you have an opinion one way or the other,  I’d love to hear it!

On that note, as I’m getting my butt back into gear this week, I’m all ears for any posts you’d like to see on Design Darling in the next few months. You might recall that I closed my online boutique almost seven months ago and now that wedding planning is also behind us, I’m excited to produce more of the blog posts you guys are pining for. Did you like the room tours from Nantucket this summer? Would you want to see more of those for our house in Connecticut? Are you interested in more travel guides, beauty picks, shopping round-ups, budget finds? What kinds of more personal posts would interest you? I spent some time on our flight home working on my (way overdue) third 101 in 1001 list and should have that ready to share in the next several weeks. Feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email with anything you want to see. I’m definitely trying to avoid the post-wedding blues over here so I’ll be taking notes and finding lots of new things to get excited about! 🙂
