OUR WEDDING ALBUM

Will and I are coming up on our one year wedding anniversary — it’s amazing how fast this year has flown by! I wrote a post about framing our wedding photos back in March and today I’m excited to share that I finally got around to creating our wedding album. As much as I love being able to relive our wedding day by scrolling through blog posts and digital copies, I’m so happy to have a physical copy that we’ll be able to display in our home and show our children someday.

I asked a few of our married couple friends how they designed their wedding albums and one company that kept coming up was Artifact Uprising. Not only are their hardcover books absolutely beautiful and heirloom-worthy, but their photo editor makes it so easy to upload all your photos, customize the layout for each spread, and add text throughout. It immediately made me kick myself for putting off this project for so long!

Creating our wedding album was so easy that I wound up creating a honeymoon album as well! We have so many fun safari photos and I’m excited to have a matching book for them as well. I decided on the layflat photo album in the 8.25″ x 11″ size with the oatmeal fabric cover and silver foil title on the front and the spine. The texture and image quality are so beautiful in person and I love that the pages lay flat so you could even open it up to your favorite spread and display it on your coffee table. For now I have ours stacked on the bookshelf in our dining room but I’m sure I’ll be moving them around a bunch as they look so pretty everywhere!

I managed to keep our honeymoon album close to the allotted 20 pages but I added a ton of additional pages to our wedding album to make sure I featured favorites from our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding day! I do want to go back and order additional wedding albums for both sets of parents — I think they’d make a perfect better-late-than-never Christmas present!
