When it comes to decorating your walls, you know you have artwork, framed photos, mirrors, shelving, and — oh, right — windows. But I noticed in perusing my recent pins that my eye often goes first to the ceiling! Thinking of the ceiling as an additional wall gives your space an extra chance to make a lasting impression.
Whether it’s a coat of unexpected color, wooden beams, or wraparound tile, a statement ceiling can absolutely transform an interior. What do you think?
That black ceiling is great.
I love all of the different ceilings and the unique feel they give to each space. I’ll probably end up repinning them all!

Totally agree. Ceilings are widely unregarded. That being said, I’m going to go hide in shame now because our ceilings have been displaying old yellowed air-con vents and bare bulbs for almost a year now! Time to get to work…
From Westminster Abbey to some of these very pictures on your post, ceilings are a wonderful way to add some style to the mix. Great ideas.
Love these! Those ceilings are amazing!
What a great point! I love seeing images/ceilings that have something different going on up there!
I wish I was looking up at our bar room ceiling falling apart. I’d actually enjoy that right about now.
how gorgeous!!!
OMG…the first photo and the last. Be still my heart! Beautiful, beautiful.
I never give much thought to ceilings until I saw the pics you chose to display here. Wow! I love!
Ceilings are a fantastic place to express yourself too! Sometimes you see plain walls and wallpapered ceilings in powder rooms and dining rooms – love it!
Those are some beautiful ceilings! It’s funny what a tremendous difference they can make.
I’m on the statement ceiling bandwagon as well! That first kitchen sends me on a path of daydreaming about it being my own. lovely inspiration photos.
I absolutely love a nice ceiling treatment, it makes such a huge difference!
