Let’s do a little Tuesday morning daydreaming, shall we? I think it’s such fun to think about the future and play pretend about where I might live ten, twenty, or thirty years from now. I grew up spending summers on Nantucket and can imagine nothing more perfect than a ‘Sconset cottage with weathered shingles, perfect hedges, and this lovely little chandelier hanging somewhere inside. I’d love to know what your dream home looks like: a cottage by the sea? a Parisian pied-à-terre? a suburban manse? Do tell!

Buying home is a major decision in our life.I am moving to populous city of Orange County where I bought a house with help of home loan
Where isn’t a perfect home? I’d love to live in a little shingled cottage in Cape Cod, or a brownstone in NYC, or a Rainbow Row house in Charleston, or an old plantation house in the South. I want ALL the houses.
I would like to live in one of the brick stone apartments that are adjacent to Gramercy Park since it is my dream to have a key to that park.
You and I are two of a kind! My husband and I are currently working on a 5-year plan to own a cottage on Nantucket. ‘Sconset is beautiful but we’re going for closer to Town. 🙂
Mine looks like a cute cottage, (but a large one haha!) in the Isle of Wight! 🙂

i would love a big white colonial with navy shutters and a pink front door on the lake in austin with lots of land. or a townhouse on the upper east side. 🙂
Always a ‘Sconset cottage! I go every summer also and it is such a great place to live! Or I would take a Georgetown townhouse any day!
Good question! I’d take a shingled cottage or a white brick house with ivy growing and a bright door. Somewhere warm 🙂
SO gorgeous.. I would take any of them! : )

My *dream* is to have homes all over the world, they don’t have to be huge, a small condo would do!
These houses all look AMAZE (just went to Cape Cod for my very first time last weekend for a wedding), but as a Midwestern girl I’d have to say my dream home would be a big sprawling cabin on the shore of a lake in Wisconsin with lots of yard space for my golden retrievers to run around in!! and maybe room for a chicken coop and a garden in the back so I could make fresh eggs and home-grown veggies. sigh…
Since we’ll be living in the DC area for the long haul, my dream house would be a craftsman style home that is perfect for the family, w/a yard for the kids & dog (& let’s face it, husband), but not totally out in the ‘burbs!
A summer home in Cape Cod would be nice too 🙂
I love the idea of this post! I am 19 and a sophomore in college, you bet that I am dreaming of my perfect home to buy in the next four or five years.
I’m proud to say that at 25 I finally live in my dream home. A Brick fixer upper w beautiful exteriors. As far as location I’d love to live in New Orleans but Houston will have to do for now 🙂
