Amy and I had the best weekend in Montauk. I usually fill every free summer weekend with a trip to Nantucket so it was fun to spend the first weekend of fall exploring somewhere totally new! We took the Jitney from the city (surprisingly painless) and stayed at the Montauk Yacht Club (you need to see the navy and white rooms!). We started each day with room service on our little deck and then headed out to explore the beach, the lighthouse, and plenty of local watering holes. Amy kindly snapped lots of outfit pictures on our trip (stay tuned!) but I thought we’d start with one of the most gorgeous places we visited. Say hello to The Surf Lodge!
The decor was to die for: turquoise floors with white Tolix chairs (get the look with these!), wicker baskets that were more art than lighting fixtures, and ice blue water views from every angle.
We ate dinner here on our first night (who could resist a lobster roll and a glass of rosé?) but had to come back in daylight to take pictures. I flipped for this surfer gallery wall.
The outdoor seating area was so bright and fun — the perfect spot for cocktails on the water. It was pretty quiet given how late in the season we went but I imagine it must have been packed back in July and August.
These hanging rattan chairs were my favorite. We spent close to an hour just swinging, chatting, and enjoying the breeze from outside. A hanging chair is now officially a requirement for my dream home…

I also posted a ton of pictures on Instagram and have a few more outfit posts in the works so stay tuned!
So adding Montauk to my summer 2015 to do list! it looks like the perfect locale for a girls trip.
What gorgeous photographs!!! I spent some time in Montauk over Labor Day and it was so crowded (but very fun)–I’d love to go back around this time of year and relax!

Your trips with Amy are always a dream! GORGEOUS photos and such a fabulous place to escape!
I am officially inviting myself on your trip next year! Also, have you seen the Serena and Lily chairs that are similar? I have one on my future home wish list.
Looks like fun – that turquoise floor is to die for! x Tali
