OUTFIT: J.MCLAUGHLIN ON THE BEACH

This post might be a little overdue (hello, it’s been two weeks since our trip to Montauk!) but I like the pictures (and the memory!) too much not to share. It’s really starting to feel like fall in New York so it feels like it’s been forever since Amy and I were frolicking on the beach. But despite the summery setting, a couple of the pieces I was wearing are from J.McLaughlin’s fall collection, which you will not want to miss. Stripes and a leather shoulder patch? Say no more.

You can always follow along on my weekend trips by checking #designdarlingtravels on Instagram or peeping my travel guide on the blog. I head to Charleston with a bunch of blogger friends in a couple weeks and booked a little fall getaway to the Falls Village Inn for the end of the month so I’m super excited for both of those! Follow me on Instagram here.

Oh and while we’re on the subject of travel… I’m hoping to schedule a beach vacay to somewhere in the Caribbean for the week in between Christmas and New Year’s (since November and December tend to be the craziest months for the boutique!) and would love your recommendations. I’ve only ever been to the Bahamas and Puerto Rico so I would LOVE to know where you’ve visited, where you stayed, and any tips you have. If your advice is anything like it was for past trips to Atlanta and Austin, many thanks in advance! xx
