What a weekend! Will’s mom was in town and my grandmother was staying at my family’s house in Connecticut so we decided to join forces and spend Saturday together tasting wine, picking apples, and playing round after hilarious round of Catchphrase. We spent Sunday back in the city forging ahead with the One Room Challenge, picking out frames for artwork, deciding on a bar cart, and assembling the new chairs and dresser. Let’s just say we broke down a lot of cardboard boxes and ended the day at our favorite massage place. It was the perfect mix of work and play and action-packed from beginning to end. Here are a few snaps from the past three days!

P.S. I made a ton of progress on my fall to do list the past couple weekends! So far, I have baked a pie, hiked to see fall foliage, picked apples, and visited a museum (two, actually!). Check out my fall to do list here and let me know which activities you’ve checked off your own list in the comments!
Looks like you had a blast this weekend! Pumpkin picking is one of my favorite fall activities, too. I go every year with all of my cousins. Maybe next year I’ll attempt to make a pie too! Tell Will’s Mama to let you share that recipe with us 🙂

Must. Have. Pumpkin. Dog costume. That is one of the cutest things I have EVER seen! Tonight I’m making pumpkin bread, something that was on my fall to do list. Feels awesome to be crossing all these seasonal things off!

That lamp is perfection! I love the marble detailing with a bit of gold (or brass?) on the bottom.

Hi! Do you mind telling me what your favorite massage spot is in the city? I’ve been dying to get one and I need a good recommendation.
Thank you!
Hi Margaret —
We go to Renew Body Wellness on West 8th Street. It’s pretty bare bones / no frills but they only charge $24 for an hour foot massage and $39 for an hour body massage… Can’t beat that! 🙂
Perfect. Just what I needed – thank you!
What a perfect fall weekend! I live in Florida and really wish we had more “fall” weather down here. So far, I have been to a football game, voted, and read one book. But I have some more things planned this weekend!
Looks like you had a lovely weekend! How cute is Rory in the pumpkin costume?! xx

Really cute post today. Love all the pics that tell such a nice story of your time spent with family. So jealous you got to go apple/pumpkin picking! We decided to get out of Manhattan for the long wknd and go up to our ski house to attend the annual Mt. Snow, Vermont Oktoberfest. On the way up we said we would stop in CT to pick some pumpkins but unfortunately….. we never did. Btw, is that a Barbour barn jacket your wearing? So cute. Looks similar to the one I have.

Thank you! Mount Snow must be beautiful this time of year and you still have plenty of time to pick pumpkins! Oh and I’m wearing the J.Crew field jacket!
