Fun fact: I was named after a plaid. My mom was working with a lot of Mackenzie tartan at Ralph Lauren while pregnant with me and she and my dad fell in love with the name Mackenzie Elizabeth. She even tied a bit of Mackenzie tartan ribbon on my birth announcements (now you know why I always say design is in the details…). So it’s no surprise that I love a good plaid (whether it’s on a spool of ribbon or a cozy flannel shirt), which is exactly why this plaid vest has my heart…

Comfy, cozy, and plaid all over! I know this outfit will be on repeat as the temperatures continue to fall. P.S. iPhone-friendly gloves are my new jam (how have I lived without them for so long?!) and this pair is $6.50. Hellooo, perfect stocking stuffer!

  1. I really love this plaid pattern! The colors are so fun for fall. This is the perfect fall/rainy day outfit! I love it! Your blog is so cute!

  2. Ah, that’s such a cute story about your name, I love stuff like that! You looks so holiday-adorable in this outfit, I love it.

  3. As a Mackenzie, I hope you’re watching the new show on Starz called “Outlander.” It’s all about the Mackenzie Clan in the Highlands of Scotland, and it’s great!

  4. Love this! Blackwatch plaid is one of my favorites (that is blackwatch plaid right? I could be wrong on that), and I’ve never seen it on a puffer – such a cute and different look. And iPhone gloves – um, I need those immediately if not sooner (especially considering the temps today – brrr!)
