You can’t overestimate the importance of outerwear in a New York winter. Yes, there are cities where it gets much colder, but very few other chilly places where people spend as much time outside getting from A to B. And to keep from getting in a total style rut every time the seasons change, it’s key to have a few options in your wardrobe arsenal. A few of my favorites: a navy cocoon coat, my new Barbour, and two trenches in perfect neutrals. But lately I’ve been noticing an eye-catching must-have in my Pinterest feed: a little something (bright) blue. It’s a slight twist on my love of navy but just the stuff to brighten up a bevy of neutral winter wear.
