We woke up at 5 a.m. on our first full day in Paris which meant we got to hit the ground running and had the city to ourselves for an hour or two. (I always feel so much better when I wake up and go to bed early — maybe this will help me get into a new routine in Dallas…!) We started out with a cappuccino and pain au chocolat at a café outside the Jardin du Luxembourg, then wandered the gardens by ourselves. It was an overcast day but it hadn’t started raining yet so Will kindly snapped a few photos of what I was wearing in case you’d like to see!
Pearl studs c/o (look for less) // J.Crew open knit sweater // Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB crossbody tote bag in Vinca (also available here) // Daniel Wellington watch // Acne Studios skinny jeans // Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots in Nice Blue (also available here)
I ordered this structured crossbody bag right before our trip and it’s been perfect for toting around the bare essentials. The fact that the periwinkle color pairs so well with my go-to navy blue makes it an even better investment! After a stroll through the gardens, we walked a little over a mile to the Louvre (so Will could see the Mona Lisa) and the Musée de l’Orangerie (so I could see Monet’s Water Lilies). These boots have become my most trusted pair of shoes for travel and days when I know I’ll be doing a lot of walking (aka every day living in New York!).

Okay, this outfit is BALLIN’ – and I’m in love with the purse!!! 🙂
The Musée de l’Orangerie is my favorite museum! Since I moved to France (not even to Paris…) seven months ago, I’ve already been three times. And unrelated but just added you on Snapchat and loved hearing your voice for the first time. Can’t wait to follow the rest of your adventures there!

Oh these gardens are my favorite. I used to go to Paris a bit and haven’t been in years. Is the fountain still there with all of the greens. It’s hidden. I used to love to just sit there.
Such a pretty outfit in such a beautiful place!! I wore my over-the-knee boots today too, and I was so excited to see yours on Design Darling. Mine are faux leather, but love your suede navy ones. Might have to check those out!!

I used to go to Paris so often as a kid and thought it was so boring in the end but I think until you move to a different country and go back to Paris with different eyes, you actually realise how much you missed it … Paris is such a beautiful city and I actually feel so lucky to be French just for that lol

So fun! Love the purse. I have been looking for a cross body for our trip to Paris in September. And, I just booked our first air bnb and we are staying right there at the gardens!
