OUTFIT: JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG

We woke up at 5 a.m. on our first full day in Paris which meant we got to hit the ground running and had the city to ourselves for an hour or two. (I always feel so much better when I wake up and go to bed early — maybe this will help me get into a new routine in Dallas…!) We started out with a cappuccino and pain au chocolat at a café outside the Jardin du Luxembourg, then wandered the gardens by ourselves. It was an overcast day but it hadn’t started raining yet so Will kindly snapped a few photos of what I was wearing in case you’d like to see!

Pearl studs c/o (look for less)  //  J.Crew open knit sweater  //  Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB crossbody tote bag in Vinca (also available here)  //  Daniel Wellington watch  //  Acne Studios skinny jeans  //  Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots in Nice Blue (also available here)

I ordered this structured crossbody bag right before our trip and it’s been perfect for toting around the bare essentials. The fact that the periwinkle color pairs so well with my go-to navy blue makes it an even better investment! After a stroll through the gardens, we walked a little over a mile to the Louvre (so Will could see the Mona Lisa) and the Musée de l’Orangerie (so I could see Monet’s Water Lilies). These boots have become my most trusted pair of shoes for travel and days when I know I’ll be doing a lot of walking (aka every day living in New York!).
