I wanted to quickly share the beautiful apartment we rented for four days in Paris. It was our first time trying out Airbnb and we totally lucked out with a lovely host and a space that was something of a dream come true. Between the herringbone floors, intricate moldings, and corner windows looking out onto the streets of Saint Germain, I could have moved right in! I think it worked well for us on this particular trip because Paris is a pretty navigable city, I knew more or less how to get around on the metro, and I speak French so I was happy to make plans without the help of a concierge. In any event, I highly recommend exploring your options on Airbnb before your next trip to see what’s available in your destination. There are definitely budget-friendly finds to be had as well as extraordinary homes better than any hotel room.

P.S. In the second photo, I’m wearing a bow top and bonded leggings from Cynthia Rowley. I stopped into her West Village boutique a few days before our trip and the fabulous salesman there talked me into these pants. Having now worn them a handful of times, I’m not sure how I ever lived without them. I don’t know quite how to describe it but the material is the softest, stretchiest, most luxurious fabric I’ve ever put on my body. You have to try them for yourself!

  1. I also used Airbnb when I went to Paris and it was the best decision ever. We felt so grown up and like we lived there even though it was only 4 days. It ended up being about as cheap as a hostel too!

  2. Those pants are amazing! They don’t look a thing like leggings, rather your ensemble is a perfectly put together Parisian outfit!
