One of my favorite things about Dallas so far is having a car and being able to zip around town for errands with Rory in tow. I’m slowly but surely getting my bearings in our new neighborhood but I honestly still get excited every time I get in the car. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in a given day when you’re not schlepping to the nearest subway stop or standing in the rain trying to hail a cab!
I didn’t think it was possible but I think I’m spending more time with Rory than ever before. He’s like my little shadow and comes almost everywhere with me. It’s awesome to be able to bring him to my office and the post office… and have an excuse to swing by the dog park on the way home. One of my secrets for a super productive day is wearing clothes I can run around in, whether I’m hauling boxes or running around after Rory. Seriously, if you want to get a ton of exercise and have a blast doing it, there’s nothing better than a hyperactive three-year-old cockapoo to make sure you’re never sedentary for too long. 😉
I’ve shared my love of Old Navy activewear (okay, fine, Old Navy everything) before but you should definitely check out their newest arrivals. The go-dry technology is great for working out at the gym (I’m loving my new Pilates class!) but they’re comfortable enough for running around town. And as always, the prices can’t be beat! I don’t think Rory and I will ever get sick of exploring all of the beautiful parks in Dallas — our favorite so far is at Klyde Warren Park (above) where the off-leash dog park has turf hills, a bucket full of tennis balls, and a water feature. Puppy heaven!
