I’ve been trying to take more outfit pictures now that it’s not freezing every time I walk outside and I finally have space to hang up all my clothes and see what I haven’t featured on the blog yet. It’s nice to have a reason to bring out my real camera and it’s funny how taking more pictures makes me see my surroundings differently! I love scouting new locations to take pictures, whether it’s a turquoise wall with a blue dress or a flowering tree with candy-colored stripes (though of course Positano was the prettiest!). My new employee Gretchen and I drove past this empty building last week and instantly earmarked it for a future photo backdrop. How stunning are those blue windows against the stone facade? It’s always a little more fun to take pictures when you know you like the background as much as what you’re wearing!

There’s something very sophisticated about a floor-length dress and this one is party perfection: my favorite color, check; swiss dots, check; fitted waist, check; cutout back, check! I kept the accessories neutral and let the dress (and that pretty background) do the talking.
Good morning and happy Friday! I had my hands full this week but managed to get in some fun shopping time at the new
This dress is perfect for wedding season and navy blue is my favorite color!

Love the dress AND the building! My husband actually owns it and has been renovating it since last summer. It’s finally coming together (looks so much better than before). Glad you loved the blue- I told him to go brighter but he got scared! LOL. We’re working on another one in Lakewood and I’m trying to convince him to do a bright yellow door! Anyway- love your blog- been reading it for a few years now and buying from the boutique some too. Welcome to Dallas! You’re going to love living here! – Shelby
Oh my gosh, what a small world! That is too funny. Great job on the blue trim and tell him I say the yellow door is a must! 😉 I can’t wait to see it!
This is a beautiful dress on you!

You look beautiful and I adore this dress! I wish I had it for a wedding that I just went to, it’s perfect. I love that it could easily be dressed up or down. I wish it was in my budget because it’s the perfect piece to have in your closet.
