It’s been hot, hot, hot in Dallas and I’ve been getting by with evenings at the pool and a daily countdown to our first summer beach trip (can someone please invent an affordable flight from Dallas to Nantucket?!). I love throwing on this soft striped dress over a bikini but it could easily transition to a casual dinner date as well. This generously sized pom pom tote has been in heavy rotation for running around town and weekend trips to the lake.

I also love the top version of this dress — would be super cute with white jeans. What fun summer trips do you have in the works?!

  1. Mackenzie, you are killing me with all the cute outfits lately. I don’t have any more room in my closet!

  2. I love the espadrilles. Those are definite shoes you can wear with a number of outfits. The only trip I am taking this summer is not really a trip. I’m going to be working a Luke Bryan concert with my friends in Nashville so I guess its kind of work and play.

  3. I feel you on the affordable flights to Nantucket thing! Oy! However, we found an option that *may* work – if either of you are interested/willing. Get your pilot’s license. It’s about $100 per lesson/hour, and you need 40 hours to get your license = $4,000. Seems steep because it’s up front, but I did it and the benefits of being able to rent a plane to fly myself versus paying for flights are huge. The lessons and license have already paid for themselves tenfold with work trips and fun trips. It’s especially a good option at a “smaller” airport like ACK 🙂

Also, LOVE the pom poms and the back on that dress! Pink and blue is always a winning combo in my book.

  4. I am loving that dress– perfect for summer time– we are just not getting into the super hot days here in Baltimore! Thanks for sharing!
