How pretty is this Chicago apartment by interior designer Summer Thornton? This has to be the dining room / breakfast nook of my dreams: a bay window with an upholstered window seat, Chippendale chairs, a painted ceiling… I could move in tomorrow. I love that it’s bright and preppy and feels like each item was collected over time and layered in with other finds. When you only buy what you love, things have a way of looking just right! Scroll down for a few pieces to help you recreate the look.

  1. So funny; I was drooling over this apartment during one of our morning computer session at Grandy’s….I am in love with the blue printed window treatments paired with the lilac purple + coral fabrications. That breakfast nook was saved to my desktop immediately!

  2. Every time I see this place I love it even more. I collect ginger jars, coffee table books, and linens. All of the little details are what make a place special.
