LIVING ROOM DECORATING PROGRESS + SOURCE LIST

I’ve been sharing little pieces of our living room / dining nook / kitchen on Instagram and decided it’s high time to get them into a blog post and share all the sources with you. I’m waiting on just a couple more pieces before I do a serious stylish sesh and have the space photographed to share with you! I’m definitely still fussing with things, moving around books and pillows, and trying to style our coffee table but we’re both really happy with how far it’s come! As a reminder, here’s how it looked the day we moved in:

In this photo, the fireplace would be off to the left and the kitchen is behind me. The paint color in our living area is Ralph Lauren “Brilliant White” and I love it!

The first items to arrive were these Serena & Lily Riviera counter stools. They’re surprisingly comfortable and always one of the first things people notice when they come over! Fun fact: the moment we found out we were moving to Dallas, I started saving for these. I’d been eyeing them for months (and obviously had no place for them in my New York apartment) and they definitely didn’t disappoint.

You can read about our little dining nook here. I’ve since added these placemats and it’s such a happy little spot to have dinner each night.

This Wisteria bookshelf is hands down my favorite piece that Will and I have purchased together. We waited and snagged it (along with our coffee table) during a promotion and I’m so glad we did. It was an investment but one I know we’ll have forever. In terms of styling, it took me forever to get it right but now I get so happy every time I walk by it! A few sources if you’re curious: I gave Will the record player for Valentine’s Day this year, the boxwood topiary is from my boutique, the cake stand is Sur La Table from a brunch I hosted last year, you can find similar blue and white vases here, and we’ll be restocking the pineapple jars in the boutique as soon as we can!

A little close-up action! Will got these to hide the cord from the record player and it instantly looked so much better. I seriously want to do it with every cable box, lamp, etc. in our house.

Speaking of cable boxes, I was all but losing sleep over the pile of cords in our living room. I love the look of the TV mounted over the fireplace but it definitely created some chaos on the ground below. After searching high and low for the perfect TV cabinet, we went with the store that’s been our home away from home since we got to Dallas: Ikea. Maybe we’ll replace it someday but honestly I think we both love the way it looks. It took two trips to the store to get the right one but we wound up with the Besta unit with drawers in Selsviken high gloss (there are so many options for customization that it’s a little overwhelming!). The print is Slim Aarons and the topiaries are from Design Darling.

I know I’ve shared details on where we got our sectional but I don’t think I’ve ever posted a photo! It’s the Pottery Barn Cameron upholstered sectional in peacoat navy. The throw pillows were a gift from Arianna Belle, who carries gorgeous pillows in every designer fabric under the sun. You can see our West Elm bar cart (large mirrored tray + butler stand) in the background, which somehow made it safely from Will’s New York apartment after the One Room Challenge.

He already had food and water bowls but I couldn’t say no when the ladies at Indigo Home offered him a personalized chinoiserie dog bowl. He’s since begun refusing to drink water from his regular bowl (no joke) and whines until we fill this one even if the regular one is full. 🙂

I hope that you enjoyed the little tour and that it answers some of your source questions! Let me know if I missed anything. And stay tuned for prettier pictures in the weeks to come!
