I thought we had finished celebrating my birthday when Will told me he’d made surprise dinner reservations last Tuesday night. I wasn’t sure what to expect since we’ve been cooking at home a lot and have already discovered a ton of new favorite restaurants in Dallas. But apparently he plans way ahead because he’d called on July 1 and made reservations for Lucia, a cozy little Italian spot in Bishop Arts where reservations are notoriously hard to come by. I was so excited to try it out (since I totally tend to leave reservations to the last minute, it probably would have been years before I made plans to go there!) and it definitely did not disappoint. There weren’t a ton of vegetarian options but we shared several small plates and now I really want to try to make this one at home!
P.S. Monochromatic dressing is one of my favorite ways to feel put together in this Texas heat. This flutter hem top comes in four colors and will be just as cute with a blazer and jeans come fall!
