Last month Gretchen and I signed up for ClassPass and have been breaking up our work day a few times a week to try different fitness classes all over the city. So far we’ve fallen in love with a barre class and a Pilates reformer class but we’ve booked all kinds of new classes to try in the weeks to come! This is in no way sponsored by ClassPass but I just have to say $95/month is pretty reasonable compared to what I paid for a gym membership in New York and the threat of a $20 fine for not showing up holds me accountable. Plus trying out new classes is a serious source of anxiety for me and having a partner-in-crime makes it so much less stressful.

I don’t want to jinx it but this is really the first time in years that I’ve had a consistent workout routine and I’m really excited about it. Even though I’ve been super sore after every class, I feel so encouraged and a little bit stronger every week. Now I’m dying to pick up a few more workout essentials so I can have a little fun dressing the part. Here’s what’s catching my eye but I’d love input from any fitness fanatics who are reading!

I love the idea of layering this and this over one of these and it’d be hard to resist a navy stripe or palm print! Shop the post below and let me know your favorites in the comments!

  1. So glad you shared ClassPass! It’s a great exercise resource! And fun workout gear choices! I’ve rediscovered Athleta in the last 9 months, and I agree, their tights and pants are super functional and stylish! I actually prefer them over a brand that rhymes with mumu…

I have one recommendation to make. There’s a tank top by Oiselle with two different names, but it’s the same great tank. On the Oiselle website, it’s called the Mio Mesh tank and it’s currently on sale. On the Title Nine website it is called the Mystique Tank and they have limited sizes, probably due to its popularity. I love it for its lightness, but also because it allows full range of motion when doing any and all exercises.

    Enjoy your ClassPass!

  2. I love trying new workout classes and really enjoyed this post!

Have you tried rowing studios? I like cycling okay, but I’ve been dying to try rowing because I’ve heard it’s even more full-body than cycling. If you have, I’d love to hear what you think. I can’t find a rowing studio in Wisconsin!

  3. I love Classpass! Did you use Classpass when you lived NYC? I would love to hear any recommendations of studios in NYC. I am a huge fan of Y7 Studio (yoga), Flybarre (barre), and Revolve FItness (cycling).

      1. It’s an awesome deal for anyone in New York – the possibilities are endless! I still need to try SLT, thanks for the reco! It’s not on Classpass and it looks a bit pricey but they do a first class special. 👍

  4. Loving the palm print leggings! I have also had really good luck at both Gap and Old Navy which offer some more affordable options. Keep the workout posts coming!

  5. What barre studio have you liked the most? I’m going to be in Dallas in a couple weeks and my friend has classpass so I was going to tag along to a studio with her. I do Bar Method in KC but i don’t think it’s on classpass in dallas 🙁

  6. Love all of your adorable finds – including that monogrammed yoga mat. Oh my! Glad to hear you are enjoying ClassPass and finding fun ways to fit a little more fitness into your routine. I swear by variety – it’s definitely the key to keeping things entertaining and staying motivated. Enjoy!
