I’ve gotten so much wear out of this navy off-the-shoulder top in the few weeks since it first arrived. I was a little skeptical about the length but it doesn’t really read as a crop top on my 5’1″ frame and pairs well with mid-rise or high-waisted denim. I wore it with dark skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots for dinner with our friends Ali and Patrick and I knew it would be perfect with white jeans for a night out in Palm Springs! I can’t wait for my next trip so I can pair it with these shorts.
Let’s talk about couple other details from this outfit (besides those streaky orange feet we discussed in Tuesday’s post…). I ordered these scalloped wedges during the Shopbop sale in October and was counting down the days until I could wear them. At first, I thought they were so uncomfortable and was worried since I’d long since passed the window for returns and exchanges. But they got infinitely more comfortable as I walked around in them (I think I just needed to stretch out the toe band a little) and when one of you commented on my Instagram saying these are your wedding shoes, I found myself thinking I may just follow suit. Wedges are so much easier to wear for hours on end than a proper heel, not to mention easier on surfaces like grass and sand. Consider me a convert!
off-the-shoulder top (comes in three colors, also love this and this)
white jeans // scalloped wedges // pearl studs (only $14!) // navy clutch
And then there’s this clutch. They’re made by a California-based company called Kayu Design that I’ve featured on the blog before. I finally opened a wholesale account so we could carry a couple of my favorite designs in the boutique and I’m so glad I did. This navy clutch with white stones (and the natural clutch with turquoise stones from Tuesday’s post) are seriously gorgeous in person and are just the ticket for carrying to this year’s myriad spring and summer weddings. Check out both of them here!

Wedges are the BEST way to go for your wedding day! I wore a beautiful pair of red lace peeptoe heels (with bow) for the photos and the ceremony, then changed into a pair of silver wedges for the rest of the night. I wore a ball gown, so you really couldn’t see them most of the night, but most importantly – I danced the night away with family and friends without sore feet! One of the best decisions I made on the day.
P.S. We had flip flops for our guests to put on for the reception and received such a positive reaction – the girls loved it because they could hit the dancefloor without going barefoot or ending up with blisters and sore feet.
