I’ll just come out and say it: I’m having a serious love affair with the high waisted navy sailor shorts in today’s post. You all know I’m a huge fan of fit-and-flare dresses and skirts because they tend to be the most flattering silhouette on me. Now onto how I styled them… I picked up this white linen blazer from J.Crew and it’s been just as good of a purchase as the navy schoolboy blazer that I wear probably once a week. It’s perfect for throwing on over my favorite J.Crew tanks or layering over a dress if I’m headed out. And the shoes! I told you on Instagram I would marry them if I could and I’m happy to say that’s still the case after wearing them around for a few weeks. Usually I go through a breaking in phase with new heels but these are super comfy since the 3″ heel is pretty manageable and you can tie the bow however loose or tight you please. My one annoyance with them is that the ribbon isn’t connected to the heel in any way so I’m nervous I’m going to lose one of them in the depths of my messy closet… not that I couldn’t replace it with a different piece of grosgrain but just something to be aware of!
