One of my favorite things about the blogging world is seeing how my favorite bloggers have forayed their successful websites into other ventures like launching product lines, offering consulting services, signing book deals, taking on interior design clients, and more. One of the blogs I’ve followed since before I started Design Darling way back in 2009 is La Dolce Vita by Paloma Contreras. After years of sharing her musings on interior design with her blog readers, she launched her own design firm — and trust me when I say hers is a portfolio you’ll want to pin from. While we’ve yet to cross paths in person, I’ve long admired her sense of style (and the fact that our puppies look like they could be long lost brothers). Yesterday on her blog she shared before and afters from a recently completed project and before I knew it I was drooling over every project of hers and trying to narrow down a few favorites to share with all of you!
A few design elements to help you achieve a similar feel chez vous: blue and white garden stools, Chippendale dining chairs, a little lucite, a Parsons table, and a statement chandelier. Check out the rest of Paloma’s portfolio here!
Excellent post
Really great post. I am inspired to read your article. I will make home like it. Thanks for sharing a nice post.
Looks great, I love this style!
Love the feature on Paloma! Despite both living in Houston, we’ve yet to cross paths either. But I have enjoyed following her design for years.

This is AMAZING! And definitely gives me hope for all our renovation projects right now, hehe. Can we talk about those built-ins and how she styled them?! Beautiful…

Thank you so much for the kind words and wonderful profile, Mackenzie! You are so sweet. Now that you are in Texas, we definitely need to meet up so Rory and Tate can have a playdate! XO
