LIVING ROOM CURTAINS

I apologize for the unexpected hiatus over the last few days! I’ve been a busy bee catching up after my trip to New York to celebrate Amy’s birthday. I had such a nice weekend catching up with her, Emily, Lauren, and Max and enjoying the seriously perfect fall weather in the city. It was also my first time dining at the Polo Bar which is as good as everyone says it is!

Now that I’m back in Dallas (for a few days anyway!) I’m trying to buckle down on lingering decorating projects around our house. Last week I went with Will’s mom to pick out trim for our living room curtains and I can’t wait to see them come to life! I know they will make such a big difference in the room (and hopefully inspire me to finally share the rest of it!). After doing statement window treatments in our guest bedroom and because there’s already a lot of color in our living room, the plan is to keep it super simple with white drapery panels and pretty trim that looks exactly like this tape trim. It will be a fun twist on the custom pelmet box we made for my first apartment, which I’ve always loved! I’m still obsessed with the lucite curtain rods we used in our guest bedroom so I have a feeling those will be making another appearance in this space as well. Here are a few images I’ve been referring to for inspiration…

What do you think? You can score a similar look on Etsy with these, these, or these! I’m hoping to share the results in the next month or so. What decorating projects do you have in the works? I need all the inspiration I can get!
