Yesterday was the first taste of spring weather we’ve had in a while and it’s amazing what a difference it makes on my mood! Totally starting the week with a little pep in my step after a long walk with Rory, some quality girl time over the weekend, and a forecast that’s not so full of rain. I hope your week is looking equally bright!
My brother Grayson snapped this outfit for me after catching up at Cha Cha Matcha, a cute-as-can-be caffeine mecca in the city with the prettiest pink and green branding. To be honest I’m not sure either of us will be trading in our iced coffees for matcha lattes anytime soon but it’s always fun to try something new! I’m trying to get better about making more outings into the city (which should be much easier once it warms up!) as there are always a million boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants I’m dying to try. (If you have any NYC gems you’d like to share, I’d love to hear in the comments!) By the way, we were walking down the street right after taking these pictures and saw this guy doing yoga on the windshield of his car while stuck in traffic… Truly an “only in New York” moment, don’t you think?
I ordered this pink and white striped off the shoulder top from Mango, a site I’d never ordered from before but one that I kept seeing featured on my friends’ blogs and eventually had to try for myself. I rarely associate fast fashion with preppy style so this top was a happy discovery at just $46. I have to say I was so mad at myself looking at these pictures because I steamed it right before leaving the house and then the ruffled sleeves got super wrinkled when I tucked them into my trench coat on the train so these pictures hardly do it justice! Seriously I looked at the photos and was like, “Damn it, Mackenzie, you had one job…” 😂 Anyway please take my word for it that it’s just adorable in person: the perfect pale pink, fun statement sleeves, and darling buttons all the way down the back!
