I’ve used the phrase “navy or nothing” to describe my aesthetic for years now and while it’s gotten me some pushback in the blogging world (“do you own any other color?!” etc.) it will always be the color I feel most comfortable in. (And yes, I do own clothing in other colors… but mostly shades of blue, white, pink, tan, gray, and the occasional green or lavender.) I sometimes cringe looking back at past outfits where I stepped way outside my comfort zone; personally, I’d rather stay true to myself and what I genuinely feel good in than try to dress like someone else. It’s funny because everyone in my family wears navy all the time, so it’s honestly never something I noticed about my style until I started sharing parts of my life on the internet!
There are lots of brands that do navy well, but one of my favorites this spring is Sail to Sable. I’ve talked about them on my blog for several years now and they continue to make some of my favorite preppy dresses and tunics for the warmer months. This spring I picked out this navy and white flounce top, which is so easy to throw on with jeans and a trench for a dinner date and will be perfect to tuck into shorts come summer. I’m also excited about this color-blocked romper (hello, favorite color combo), this everyday t-shirt dress, and these sweet striped shorts.
Lastly, if you love a good budget-friendly buy, I just realized all the accessories I’m wearing in this outfit — from my pearl drop earrings and tortoiseshell sunglasses to my basket bag and suede bow sandals — are under $150! Love when that happens. 🙂

I LOVE “Navy or Nothing.” It’s my neutral of choice– always has been and always will be (as I’m typing this I’m wearing a navy blazer and flats). Also, bonus, everything matches and looks chic! Cheers to navy!
Yay! Cheers!
One of my favorite things about your style is your “navy or nothing” aesthetic and that you completely embrace it! I used to buy clothes in every color of the rainbow because I thought I needed to “branch out” and since turning 30 and honing in on my personal style I’ve realized that only a handful of hues really make me happy. Now my clothes are almost all navy, white and gray with hints of pink, red, green and other shades of blue. I’m so much happier when I look in my closet and shopping is a lot easier, too!
Meghan, thank you so much! I so relate to what you said about only a handful of colors really making you feel your best. Cheers to navy or nothing! 🙂
Love this entire outfit! That top and those heels are SO darling. Love! xo Devon Seventeen Dresses
Navy blue and stripes are my weakness. I try really hard to vary my wardrobe, but I struggle to wear the other pieces because I love my stripes and navy too much!
