I’ve been so lucky to make several great girlfriends since we moved to Greenwich this past winter. The same way that I lucked out with meeting Ali and Amy when we first moved to Dallas, I feel like I hit the jackpot in terms of meeting a few really great girls who are always up for an impromptu happy hour or a big group dinner.
The house we’re renting is walking distance to Greenwich Avenue, which is super convenient since Will has to take the train into the city every morning. In addition to being a quick walk to the train station, we also walk Rory to Starbucks on the weekends and I can walk to meet friends for dinner or drinks during the week. I’m not sure where we’ll end up in the next few years, but we are definitely loving the convenience of this location right now!
A few of my favorite spots for a little girls’ night in the area are Eastend, Elm Street Oyster House, Harvest, and Terra. I’m also excited to try The National once it reopens. Eastend is great for everything for group reservations to grabbing a cocktail at the bar or at one of their outdoor tables (they’ll even let you bring your pup!). My friend Shelly and I had the yummiest salmon at the bar at Elm Street Oyster House and they also have cute outdoor seating. Harvest has a little bar in the back that’s perfect for grabbing a glass of rosé after work and Shelly and our friend Katie just introduced me to the back garden at Terra, a total hidden gem with only a handful of tables. If you’re local to the area, I’d love to know some of your favorite girls’ night spots too!
Also, this flouncy top was made for girls’ night out. The high neck and peplum waist make for such a flattering silhouette and I love something a little looser to wear out for dinner or drinks. It reminds me of the J.Crew Carrie cami I own in a bunch of colors (and have worn here, here, and here) but with a more flowy fit. It’s on major sale right now and I highly suggest scooping one up before it’s too late!
