As obsessed as I am with Audible, I still love sitting down to read a hardcover book. It could be my love of coffee table books or my fiancé’s slight Amazon Prime addiction, but as a couple we have quite the collection (not to mention the 50 or so boxes of books in the basement we’ve yet to find a home for). We dream of one day having a library where we can display all of our favorites and Will’s ever-growing “to be read” section! When we first moved in together, we realized we had so many duplicates of Penguin Classics with covers illustrated by Coralie Bickf0rd-Smith. So naturally I let out an actual squeal when I found this mecca of beautiful book sets worth collecting, displaying, and passing on to our future children. Whether you’re a Jane Austen fan girl (me), Michael Lewis-obsessed (Will), or an F. Scott Fitzgerald fan (both of us), these colorful book sets are as delightful to keep on display as they are to actually read. And would they not make the most perfect gift for the bibliophile in your life?! Browse the whole assortment here.

I like your ideas of using colorful book sets as decor. Thanks for the ideas!
Oh my gosh, these are all so beautiful! I have some of the Penguin Classics & would love to collect them all – I agree that they make beautiful home decor. We have an old set of Enid Blyton books that sit on one of our shelves and they look so cute.

I LOVE this post. I grew up with a library in my parent’s home and I have many wonderful memories of curling up in there with a book. These book sets are beautiful and can’t wait to add them to my collection.
Funny because I love Austen and my husband Stephen is obsessed with Michael Lewis! Does Will have any recommendations for authors similar to Michael Lewis? Stephen and I both love Steinbeck, as well, and I see a pretty set of his on One King’s Lane I might have to buy… thank you for sharing!
From your post.. you may want to check out this AMAZING children’s book store. I think you might just be heart eyes for days! I just saw it on a blog I have never read before, but may just keep reading now!

Super pretty, although I love the library myself. Any good book recommendations for us?
I love the library (which I just shared on Instagram haha) but for classics like these I definitely hope to own most of them 🙂 In the past few months I’ve read:
– You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero (super motivating)
– Mindset by Carol Dweck (insightful but pretty redundant after the first few chapters)
– The Couple Next Door (pretty good psychological thriller)
– In A Dark, Dark Wood (ditto the above)
And I’m currently reading The Year of Living Danishly by Helen Russell. You can find tons of book recs in these posts!

Where oh where did you get that beautiful desk pad/ink blotter?
It’s from the book company’s Instagram (image credit below photo) but I’m guessing they’re from Haute Papier 🙂
Thank you!
omg currently living life with 5 of these sets sitting in my cart. let’s see how today unfolds. so happy you shared this, thank you!
“Let’s see how today unfolds.” Hahaha sounds exactly like something I would say. Fingers crossed you pull the trigger! 🙂
I bought a few of the Penguins Classics for my daughter when she was born and love them. I think maybe this needs to be a bday gift of adding one each year or something because they are so perfect!
That is SUCH a sweet idea — will definitely be stealing it when we have kids! 🙂
Love this post! I’m such a bibliophile and *adore* beautiful books. Would love to hear what you’re reading lately!

My daughter is a freshman this year, and I’ve decided for her graduation from high school gift that I am going to buy her my top 50 books. And you better believe that I am buying the most gorgeous ones I can find. I am doing one book a month over the next 4 years, plus the extra two to spread out the cost.
That is such a brilliant gift! Two years ago for Christmas I gave my sister Reilly a book a month for the next year. Love the idea of doing it for all four years of college! 🙂
I love love love love these book sets! I’m a big fan of a good book, too – and although I’m obsessed with Audible too I can’t help myself with a good pretty book either! Thanks for the Tuesday inspo it was exactly what I wanted to see! Ha!
I hope you have a lovely day,
Michael
