MY NEW 101 IN 1001 LIST!

design darling 101 in 1001

Here it is, at long last: my third 101 in 1001 list! As you may know, I keep a list of 101 things I want to accomplish in the next 1001 days and today marks the start date of this next 2.75 year project. I am so excited to get started and to share my progress with you along the way!

Click here to check out my full list (and you can always revisit my first list or my second list) and be sure to drop me a line if you decide to write your own. I always love looking at other people’s goals for inspiration and I link to all these lists at the bottom of my own to spread the 101 in 1001 love!

I’m so excited for what the next few years have in store and I’m eager to get started on these goals. I’m super excited about some of them (like launching my blog redesign and posting all of our wedding photos, which will happen as part of a five-day “wedding week” starting on Monday, November 13!) and super intimidated by others (like setting foot on a new continent and buying a house). But I really tried to think big and think ahead on this list by including goals that feel totally out-of-reach now but that I’d love to push myself to achieve two or three years from now. Eeek! Here we go. Wish me luck! xx

  1. Love the list! You have inspired me to make my own now and challenge a friend to do the same.
I did 40 weeks of Kaylas workouts, they are totally worth it. Take progress photos and remember the first few weeks are the hardest part to get through. Enjoy!

  2. This is so inspiring! So I have sort of a dumb question…how do you and your husband read books (i.e. Harry Potter) together? Do you use audio books or just both read a copy at the same time like a book club? I’m a huge reader and would love to get my husband more involved but don’t know how to work the logistics of it! Thank you!

    1. This is totally not a dumb question because we haven’t discussed it either! On our honeymoon we shared a set of headphones and listened to audio books together. We’ve also listened to audio books together in the car (especially on our two cross-country moves!) but I love your book club idea as well! Or we might even take turns reading out loud to one another…it might take longer but it sounds sort of romantic to me!

  3. If you’ll be visiting in laws this year I encourage you to check out my husbands practice for your LASIK procedure. We have a lot of common ground (Cistercian, Princeton, Highland Park, Lake Athens, Tecovas, doodles, all things blue and white!) Please feel free to reach out with any questions. 💙👀💙

  4. I got so excited reading your list I immediately made my own and printed a copy to hang on my fridge to help stay motivated. Can’t wait to read about all you accomplish in the next 1001 days <3

  5. Love the list! I have an AMAZING dermatologist in Fairfield County that I’ve been going to since I was a little kid. Would be more than happy to share! xo Elle

  6. Love your goals, I agree it is so fun to draw inspiration from other people’s goals! I particularly like #9 on your Just for Fun; go Red Sox! 🙂

  7. Just made my first list. I took your advice to get inspired by other people’s lists. I’m really excited to get started!

  8. This is awesome- it’s inspired me to get started on my own list! I would love to hear the process of how you go about making the list. Do you jot down a new goal when it comes to mind, or did you set aside time to develop the whole list at once? I love how the start date could be any day- it’s so easy to get caught in the trap of “oh I’ll make my goals at the new year”…no reason not to get started now!

    1. It takes me at least a couple months to come up with 101 goals — there’s definitely no way I could do it all in one sitting! I decide which goals I want to carry over from my previous list, get inspired by other people’s lists, and brainstorm about how I want the next three years of my life to look. This time (since it’s been quite a while since the end of my last list) I actually came up with 128 goals and had to narrow it down to the ones I’m most excited about! I would love to see your list once you complete it. Good luck!!!
