Happy Friday! I’m so excited for the holiday weekend. Will’s parents fly in from Dallas today, my siblings are coming out to the ‘burbs tomorrow, my cousins arrive on Christmas Eve, and we’ll all be together for Christmas day! And I have to say, it feels amazing to really enjoy my first holiday season since closing my online boutique earlier this year and not be stalking tracking numbers and fielding customer service emails. 🙌🏼

This week’s rose was finishing this crazy scary book and sharing it on Instagram stories. I’m trying to get more comfortable sharing on stories and hearing from over 200 of you (!) who’d also read the book or had similar recommendations was so encouraging for me. I’m starting to think Instagram DMs are the new blog comment sections — it’s been so fun to connect with more of you! There’s also nothing better than finishing a book that you can’t stop thinking about. I’m excited to bring more reading content to my blog and Instagram in 2018!

This week’s thorn was that I got in precisely zero workouts. Doesn’t it feel like something always has to give? I had a productive week work-wise, made two trips into the city for dinner with friends and Will’s office’s holiday party, finished the aforementioned book, and got our house tidy (enough) for having family over on Christmas… so naturally I ate terribly and didn’t make it to the gym at all. I always notice a difference in my mood when I’ve gone too long without squeezing in a workout, so the workout regimen resumes… post-Christmas. Have a great one! xx

  1. With all the hustle bustle of the holidays, I really rely on quick workouts that are super super hard and leave me sweaty after even 20 minutes! I highly recommend Pop Sugar on Youtube 🙂 Merry Christmas, glad to hear you’ve really been able to enjoy the season this year!
