Hi friends! How was your weekend? We had dinner with my parents, dropped off an upholstery project, hung artwork in our bedroom and foyer, and watched the Super Bowl at our friends Shelly and James’s house. No complaints here!
Today I’m starting the week with a shameless plug. 😬 Part of my Instagram bio reads “never not wearing navy” and I was insanely flattered to see the phrase pop up in my Shorty Awards nomination! I’m nominated in the lifestyle category and it’s really an honor just to see my blog in such impressive company. If you feel like casting a vote for me, you can do so here!
In the spirit of never not wearing navy, I bring you this head-to-toe navy look that I wore out to dinner in Darien this weekend. I took off my winter coat for approximately three seconds and I still could have used a space heater underneath our table… brrr. But this gingham top was love at first sight for me; for all the gingham styles I have in my closet, this one might be my first gingham statement piece. It’s perfect to dress up jeans for a dinner date and I can’t wait to tuck it into high-waisted shorts come summer.

I love this top (and love even more that you’re showing a truly affordable top…$80-$100 for a shirt isn’t cheap for a lot of younger people and I really, REALLY appreciate that you’re showing accessible items! Please keep doing more of that)!
Congratulations on the nomination and I always love all your navy!

That top is so perfect for you!
That shirt is a “gingham statement piece” for sure! You rock it so well, it’s bold and lovely but your smile and (amazing) hair still pull visual interest to you, rather than the clothes owning the whole aesthetic! Love it!

So chic – I love how the criss-cross of the heels compliments the gingham print. Congrats again on the nomination – so exciting!
