Will and I had the nicest trip to the Dominican Republic this past weekend. Neither of us had ever been, but the Playa Grande Beach has been on my hotel bucket list for a while now and I knew we’d both be eager to escape the cold come March. I didn’t know when I booked the trip at the beginning of the year that I’d be going to Palm Beach and the Bahamas on either side of this trip, but it was so nice to have some time in the sunshine just the two of us. I’ll be sharing lots more about our experience at the hotel and Will was a powerhouse about shooting outfits so I have a ton of fun spring/summer looks to share with you guys over the next few weeks!

If you watch my Instagram stories you probably saw me wear this pale blue sweater a couple weeks ago in Palm Beach too. I love, love, love the color and the button detail at the shoulder and I’ve become a big fan of Petit Bateau’s super classic designs (I also own this raincoat and this striped sweater). Here I tucked it into these pleated shorts from last summer, but it’d be adorable with white jeans and booties as we transition into spring!

  1. I’m so in love with these shorts, I think I’ll have to get them for myself! Hope you have a great trip with VV and I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos Will took from this trip!

  2. Love that outfit. I have to say, I adore your style. You’re one of a handful of bloggers that I’ve followed off and on for a long time because your style is so classic and chic (Carly the (college) Prepster is another). Safe travels on your trip. And I’m adding this to my bucket list too!
