One of the nights we had friends out for the Fourth of July we decided to cook at the house instead of trying to get another dinner reservation for thirteen. We picked up shrimp cocktail and cooked (but not cracked, oops!) lobster from Nantucket Meat & Fish Market and did corn on the cob and lobster rolls on the grill in the backyard. Thankfully my girlfriends are much more skilled in the kitchen than I am and whipped up all sorts of sides so I could busy myself with cutting hydrangeas for the table and making sure everyone was topped off with rosé. It took us a while to get the lobster cracked (which by the way I wouldn’t recommend doing in a Mara Hoffman party skirt 😉) so the sun had set before we could sit down to eat but at least I snapped a few photos before dinner!
Later in the week these beautiful Amanda Lindroth glasses arrived from a new-to-me shop called The Grove and I just couldn’t love them any more! The glasses slip out of the rattan holders for easy cleaning but the pitcher does need to be hand-washed. They are such a pretty addition to any summer tabletop and I’m eyeing one of these Amanda Lindroth trays next. The Grove actually reminds me a lot of the online boutique I had from 2012 to 2017 so definitely check them out if you’re looking for cute gifts and decor! They’re also generously offering 10% off all online orders with code Design Darling at checkout!
