WHICH DINING CHAIRS WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

I’m back in Connecticut for the week and Will and I spent most of the weekend unpacking from Nantucket and straightening up around the house. I definitely have the decorating itch right now and I’ve been saving my pennies for a while now to replace our dining chairs. (You can see our current chairs in this post.) I’ve been saving lots of inspiration images and have it narrowed down to a few styles. I would love to hear which of these dining chairs you’d choose!

I’ve been in love with the CB2 Tayabas cane side chairs since the moment I first laid eyes on them and seeing them in action in this dining room by Monika Hobbs might have pushed me over the edge. I love the curved back, woven seat, and white lacquer frame and would probably want to have cushions made at some point to make them a little more comfortable.

The other look I love is a Chippendale dining chair like these from Ballard Designs, pictured in the above dining room. It’s a classic style I know I’d never tire of and I love the sturdy frame and cushioned seat on this version, but I worry they might be too off-white next to our white dining table. If any of you have them, I’d love to hear your thoughts on how the color looks in person!

These Chippendale dining chairs from Williams-Sonoma are another good option (especially as they’re on sale right now!) and I love how they look in the shot of Gray Malin’s kitchen above. My one reservation is how thin the frame looks at the top and on the legs look… maybe I’m being too picky?!

My one other thought would be to do something in navy like these chairs, a linen version similar to the velvet ones in my friend Amy’s dining room in their last house. They also come in a round version and are the most affordable of the options I’ve highlighted here, but I kind of have my heart set on either the cane chairs or one of the chippendale chairs above.

What do you think of these four? What chairs do you have in your dining room? Any opinions on which ones you think we should choose? Feel free to weigh in in the comments!
