One of the tasks on my 101 in 1001 list was to find a way to display my wedding shoes. They’re one of my favorite details from our wedding day and I knew I couldn’t just stash them away in the back of my closet. I finally found a way to give them a proper display in the new shelving unit in our home office (which you’ll see photos of later this week!) and I’m so happy with how it turned out!
I measured the two shoes side by side and then found an acrylic display box that approximated those measurements. It just so happened that the best size was a display box intended for a football, but I like this option a little better. 😉 Of course I could have just displayed them on the shelf sans box, but I like that the acrylic protects them from dust and makes them feel more like a framed piece of art.
Speaking of my wedding shoes, I’m so happy to report that a similar style just arrived at Nordstrom! These are super similar to mine as they have the same white satin, pointed toe, and silk tie. The heel on mine was 2” higher than these, but I definitely don’t mind the idea of being a little more comfortable on your wedding day! Many thanks to Krista for passing along the link. I’m thrilled to have a nearly identical pair to share with brides looking for a similar style! (P.S. More wedding-worthy styles I love here.)
Officially crossing #54 off my 101 in 1001 list. See how many goals I’ve crossed off so far here!

I’ve read the book and really enjoyed Google it.
This is a great idea. Especially for such special shoes.
I did the same for organizing my shoe collection.

This is such a beautiful way to display your wedding shoes! I love mine & have been looking for a way to have them out without having to worry about dust, my cat, etc. I’m definitely going to steal this tip!

Where is the little white wicker bag from!
It’s from Milly but a couple years old!
Love this idea! Did you get your shoes cleaned after your wedding? Mine are so dirty and don’t know what to do!
Yes, I brought them to Leather Spa in NYC. They’re not perfect but they’re much better!
Those look so great! I love shadow box-esque display cases on bookshelves for meaningful mementos!

Such a cute way to display the shoes – love it! Truly the most beautiful wedding shoes I have ever seen a bride wear!
Hi! Quick question for you, was your ceremony outdoors? How did you deal with a spike heel for your wedding? My ceremony is outdoors on grass and I am so nervous about sinking into the grass!
Our cocktail hour and reception were outdoors and you HAVE to get these heel stoppers — they saved me from ruining my shoes and made the high heel so much more comfortable!
