STRIPED SHIRT AND NEEDLEPOINT SLIPPERS ON SANIBEL ISLAND

One of my favorite parts of our trip to Florida two weekends ago was the boat ride from Boca Grande to Captiva and walking along the beach on Sanibel Island. I’m my happiest self in or on the water so this was a perfect day in my book!

Any time I’m heading out on a boat my mind immediately jumps to nautical stripes so this Saint James shirt was a no-brainer — easily one of the most worn items in my closet. I get a lot of questions about the fit of these shirts and I tend to favor a size small in the Minquiers Moderne style, which is less fitted and looks great with scrunched sleeves. You can find it in a ton of colors here… I want them all!

I picked up this straw tote before our trip and love the little bow detail. I have a not-so-slight obsession with straw and woven bags for warm weather — I could easily go the entire winter without a single handbag but I collect summer bags like it’s my job. I’ve had these needlepoint slippers since last summer and find myself reaching for them all the time. I love the subtle green and navy pattern!
