PALM BEACH RECOMMENDATIONS?

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! It was so nice having Will home for an extra day. 🙂 We wound up having a pretty low-key weekend at home and catching up with our friend Paul in the city on Saturday. I have to say I had a little FOMO seeing everyone’s long weekend trips on Instagram so I’m excited that we’re headed to Palm Beach this coming weekend!

I’ve been to Palm Beach a couple times (first for a girls’ weekend and then for a once-in-a-lifetime press trip) and have a few places on my list, but I’d love any recommendations you have for new places to eat, shop, and explore. The weather is supposed to be in the low 80s and I could not be more excited!

  1. If you’ve got a car and a little bit of time you should drive Ocean Ave to have breakfast at John G’s on the Beach in Manalapan! Family owned since it opened, the portions are BIG and delicious! Only accepts cash or check though, so stop at an ATM before you go. Also, make sure you grab a penny and get yourself a handful on M&Ms on the way out.

  2. You’ll be in my neck of the woods! Of course, I won’t be ☹️, but I’ll be visiting family over in Naples. I would highly recommend the newly revamped and reopened Norton Museum of Art. Hope you have a wonderful time!

  3. The seafood bar at the Breakers is a definite – their gorgonzola fries are to die for, and of course their stone crab.

During a trip last April my fiance and I rented bikes at Palm Beach Bicycle Trail shop & biked all around one day. We stumbled into two ocean front open houses and had the BEST time. It was a chance to see historical architecture from the area and some really cool interior design, just by chance! Next time, I am going to definitely check out for open houses of the like! As newly engaged, new home owners things like that are so thrilling!

  4. Cafe Boulud is in the most beautiful hotel and is delicious. Warm mini Madelines with your check! Also you have to get a drink at the bar at the Breakers on the first level. The whole bar is a fish tank. Also for a more dive beach bar time you cant beat ER Bradleys.

  5. Random recommendations in no particular order: Buccan is delicious as others have recommended, as is kitchen in WPB (burger + coconut cake in particular), grato in WPB, and honor bar (kale salad). Rocco’s tacos on clematis street is always a blast. West Palm Beach Brewery is fun and low key. We love Makeb’s bagels and the Surfside Diner for breakfast, but if you haven’t been to Green’s pharmacy, it is is pretty much a PB institution. See if the bar at the Colony is having Motown night.

Definitely bike/walk the lake trail. If you want to golf, Palm Beach Par 3 is gorgeous and quick (enjoyable even for folks who aren’t the biggest golfers).

  6. Another vote for Buccan. So yummy and great ambience! Sant Ambroeus is another fave and agree that Seafood Bar is fun for drinks! Have fun!

  7. If you’re looking for a new needlepoint project, check out Lycette Designs’ store. I’m hoping to stop by when I’m in Palm Beach in May, it looks so cute!

  8. BUCCAN. Seriously one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Other faves are Pizza Al Fresco and Avocado Grill. But Buccan is truly amazing.
Love the spa at the Four Seasons followed by lunch on the pool deck.

  9. The Seafood Bar at The Breakers is a beautiful spot for drinks and a bite to eat. Also, if you have any interest in needlepoint, check out Lycette’s adorable shop!
