SHOPPING IN PALM BEACH

One day I hope I’ll learn to sit still and relax on vacation but there were so many places I was dying to visit in Palm Beach that we were go-go-go for our less than 48 hour visit. We got in late Friday night and went straight to bed, so we got an early start on Saturday with breakfast at Sant Ambroeus. It was so nice to sit outside under their pretty coral umbrellas and do a little people-watching over eggs and pancakes. How precious is their little gelato cart?

After breakfast we took a stroll down Worth Avenue and popped into the Stubbs & Wootton store. I’ve been wanting to double check Will’s size so we can order him a bespoke pair for summer (see my bespoke pair in action here!) and of course I wound up falling in love with a few of their new arrivals. I wound up wearing this pair with a white short suit out to dinner with the ladies of Palm Beach Lately and I plan on wearing this pair all day every day come summer on Nantucket. (You can now use code DESIGNDARLING for 20% off your own pair!)

We took a quick detour to walk along the beach — it was super humid during our visit so the ocean breeze felt particularly amazing. I wore this Mara Hoffman jumpsuit, my go-to Celine sunnies (similar styles here and here), this J.McLaughlin bag, and my Castaner espadrilles. Don’t forget you can use code GOBIG19 for up to 25% off the jumpsuit and espadrilles during Shopbop’s sitewide sale (which has been extended through Monday, March 4)! I tied a rope belt from this pair of shorts to give the jumpsuit a little more shape.

Will was a good sport for the next two store visits — I actually rarely shop on vacation but he’s pretty go-with-the-flow as long as he’s outside and eating good food! I’d been dying to visit Lycette Designs to pick up a new needlepoint project and found a cute little Nantucket key fob that I think I can finish in the next month or so. Her store is so beautiful and a must-visit if you’re into needlepoint!

Next we popped into Amanda Lindroth where I could have walked out with the entire store. I am head over heels for these wicker and leather trays and I’m tempted to order another set of these pitchers and glasses that we use on Nantucket.

We had lunch outside at Maven, which is owned by the same group that owns Galley Beach on Nantucket, so we were able to get a lobster roll fix in February!

Our last shopping stop of the day was Circa Who, a site I’ve long stalked online for the best assortment of vintage decor and furniture. I could have loaded up an entire truck with bamboo dressers and Chippendale chairs — they have the most incredible eye!

Next we headed back to the Pineapple Pad to freshen up before drinks at Buccan and dinner at Pizza Al Fresco. I completely forgot to take pictures because we had so much fun with Beth, Danielle, and their husbands! The sign of a truly fun night. 🙂
