I hoard decorating inspiration like it’s my job. I have a folder on my desktop that’s filled to the brim with ideas for our “someday” home and I like to look through every now and then to get styling ideas for our current house or to see how a piece I’m considering now will fit in with what I envision for a more permanent space down the road. It’s fun to see what decorating ideas I’m drawn to across a variety of interiors and it’s clear I love the look of a cozy canopy bed. If you’ve been reading for a while, you might remember that I actually ordered a canopy bed when we bought our townhouse in Dallas, only to realize on delivery day that it wouldn’t fit up the stairs and had to be returned. I love the headboard we wound up with instead (this one in navy twill) but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming about a canopy bed in a future home. Here are a few images that have caught my eye over the years… Do you love the look as much as I do?

This is type of bed you buy for your forever house because you never want to move it!

Always been a dream of mine to have one! There is something so cozy and old-fashioned about them…
I’ve always loved canopy beds! My parents had one growing up, and then I got one when I was 12 (my parents got me a “grownup” queen size bedroom suite). When my husband and I moved into our house, we moved that set into it too! It occasionally strikes me as odd that my family as an adult is using the same furniture I got back in 2002, but fortunately I picked something pretty timeless and my tastes haven’t morphed TOO too much!
These rooms are all SO dreamy!
