I’m so excited to be hosting a shopping event at the J.McLaughlin store in Darien this Thursday evening and I’m even more excited that 15% of the proceeds will benefit A Better Chance, the non-profit where my parents are taking care of eight teenage girls! J.McLaughlin has SO many cute pieces for spring and it’s even more fun to shop when you know you’re supporting an amazing cause. I’m attaching the invite at the end of this post and would love, love, love to see some of you there!
I’m in love with this outfit that the J.McLaughlin ladies helped me pick out for the event (so don’t be surprised when you see me wearing the same thing Thursday night!). The striped shirt, wicker bag, and reversible belt were no-brainers but the scalloped jeans were a little outside my comfort zone as I truly only own skinny jeans and these are more of a straight leg / “mom jean” style. I came out of the dressing room with them on and my mom and the store manager insisted I need them in my life. How fun is that scalloped hem? I’ve never seen anything like them and the fit is seriously so flattering. We found these adorable cork wedges to give me a little height and I have to say I love the entire look!
A quick note about this wicker bucket bag… I have approximately a million straw bags at this point but I couldn’t resist this one because it’s big enough to hold my wallet, phone, and sunglasses and so many of my favorite summer bags are teeny tiny and generally impractical. I’m so happy to have one to carry into the spring and summer months now that we’ve finally had a taste of 60 degree weather in Connecticut!
