RED, WHITE, AND BLUE

I don’t think I’ve been this ready for a weekend in a long time! I suddenly came down with a nasty cold on Monday night that stuck around all week and forced me to cancel most of my plans for the week. It turns out the options for cold medicine during pregnancy are pretty useless (my OB recommended children’s Dimetapp which tastes about as good as I remembered… ??‍♀️) so I kind of just had to tough it out and get lots of rest in the mean time. Hopefully I can start to feel caught up this weekend and be back to regularly scheduled programming next week! We have our first infant care class at the hospital (ahhh!) and a graduation party for the two ABC seniors this weekend so it should be a good one.

We took these pictures last weekend and I wanted to share so you have plenty of time to order this red, white, and blue dress in time for the Fourth of July! I can’t think of anything more perfect for a festive barbecue and fireworks. I love the bow shoulders and trimmed pockets as well as the fact that it’s not sheer (why do so many white dresses have that problem?!). I sized up to a medium to accommodate my bump (and tied the bows a little higher up than I normally would) but it runs true to size otherwise! I love it paired with these bright red espadrilles — I own them in several colors but these are definitely the most fun for summer!
