PEEL AND STICK WALLPAPER IN OUR POWDER ROOM

I knew I had to finally shoot this powder room reveal before we had to take down the peel and stick wallpaper in preparation for our move at the end of next month! My mom and I hung this green trellis print peel and stick wallpaper several months ago and I’ve been meaning to get the custom sink skirt monogrammed and do a little accessorizing before sharing it here, but then we decided we’d be moving soon and I didn’t want to spend any more time or money decorating a space I knew we’d have to bring back to a blank canvas before we move out. So here it is in all its partially completed glory!

While I wish we’d gotten to enjoy this fun printed wallpaper for more of our lease, I’m at least happy we learned how to hang it because it would be so easy to replicate in our future home (although I’m sure I’ll be tempted to hang real wallpaper since we’ll be there for several years!). If you’re on the fence about trying peel and stick wallpaper in a rental, I hope I can convince you to give it a shot because it really is SO easy to hang (as long as you have a buddy!) and even easier to remove (I took down the wallpaper in this room by myself this past weekend). It’s so much easier than hanging real wallpaper and the removal process is probably the easiest thing I’ll tackle in this entire move — it took literally one minute once I unscrewed the light switches and toilet paper holder and the peel and stick paper left zero residue on the walls. Ummm why didn’t I discover this when I rented in New York?!

I shared a ton of fun peel and stick wallpaper options in this post and my mom convinced me to go a little outside my very-blue-and-white comfort zone with this green trellis print. It is so bright and happy and it made me smile every time I walked in! Like I said in a perfect world I would have loved to add a coordinating appliqué monogram to the sink skirt and order monogrammed napkins to match the green walls, but there’s always next time. I’m excited to hang this Nantucket Print Shop print in our next place too!

    1. We pushed the paper as far down as we could before peeling down the adhesive back as it’s much easier to maneuver without the sticky part adhering to the wall before you’re ready to stick it in place. We did have to cut out a few small pieces and match up the pattern behind the toilet so it’s not perfect but of course it’s something no one else has ever noticed except me! 🙂
