How am I already almost eight months pregnant? After a very long first trimester, my second trimester just flew by and I’m now at 31 weeks! It’s probably because I have so much else on my mind with moving into our new house this week, but I feel like the third trimester is going by just as fast. Which is crazy and exciting and nerve-wracking because we have so. much. to. do. before we meet this baby boy of ours!
You can read about how I’m feeling, what I’ve loving most about being pregnant, and how much weight I’ve gained so far in my second trimester recap, but it’s crazy how fast new symptoms can pop up during pregnancy. I’m still feeling great overall and still taking nausea meds every day (sometimes twice a day) to treat hyperemesis, but sleep is definitely getting more challenging as my bump grows and my due date inches ever closer. I’m getting up 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom, something I never did before getting pregnant! And I’m trying to take it relatively easy with regard to our move this week, but my body definitely lets me know when it’s had enough — taking a deep breath is basically a thing of the past now that the baby is crowding my lungs as well as my bladder!
We’re heading in for an ultrasound later this week where we’ll find out what position baby’s in (I LOVE feeling him wiggle around but I still have trouble distinguishing between a headbutt and a kick!) and get an estimate of his height and weight. Any doctor’s visit where we get to catch a glimpse of him is my favorite — I can’t believe we’re just two months out from meeting him in person!
