I finally got around to ordering Teddy’s birth announcements and I’m so happy with how they turned out! I remember my mom showing me my own birth announcements several years ago — tiny letterpress cards to which she’d tied a small piece of ribbon in the Mackenzie tartan. I’m such a sucker for pretty paper goods and wanted something equally special to commemorate the birth of our first baby. I did lots of browsing and landed on these beautiful letterpress cards with one of my favorite photos of Teddy as a newborn and can’t wait to share them with him someday. Officially crossing #51 off my 101 in 1001 list!
P.S. Introducing Teddy and Teddy’s birth story.

Its beautiful! congratulations again!
Just realized he has the same birthday as my daughter. 🙂 I love that photo!!
I have never seen these before… it is more tradionally in the north? or what is the purpose? Wondering if I need to get on the bandwagon?!
I suppose they’re a little old-fashioned in the age of social media but you just send them to family and friends much like you would a Christmas card!
We send them in the South, too!
