HOW TO MAKE AN OLD SOFA LOOK BRAND NEW

On the heels of yesterday’s post about Amazon finds, I have to share the two products I just found to breathe new life into our beloved sectional. We love, love, love this piece but it was looking a little tired after four moves with us and I remembered seeing an easy solution on Things I Bought And Liked (she has the best Amazon finds if you’re not following her already!). Anyway I ordered ten pounds of this polyester filling, unzipped each cushion on our sectional, and stuffed around the cushion inserts with handfuls of filling until they looked more plump. The project took literally ten minutes for our entire sectional and I still had half the box of filling left over for a future spruce-up. I wish I’d taken better photos but trust me when I say our 5+ year old sofa looks brand new and is comfier than ever before!

Before, sad and wilted cushions that Rory insists on sitting on top of. After, perfectly plump cushions that make our favorite couch even comfier!

After I stuffed the cushions, I whipped out this handy pet hair roller and went to work. Rory actually hardly sheds, but we eat on this sofa all the time and let’s just say it needed a good clean. My friend Grace recommended this pet hair roller that’s way more heavy-duty than your average lint roller and I’m obsessed. I hesitated before buying (did I really need a $25 lint roller?) but it’s seriously a game-changer. ??
